In three separate incidents, a 40-year-old man was found dead in a dhaba and two people committed suicide in Muzaffarnagar.
The body of Prem Raj was found last evening in the dhaba, where he worked as a cook, by his colleagues, who then informed the police.
Raj had started working at the dhaba in the district's Morna town a few days ago, in-charge of Morna police outpost, Tej Singh Yadav, said.
The cause of death is not known yet and his body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, Yadav added.
The cook's family told the police Raj had gone missing a few days ago.
In the other two incidents, a 22-year-old youth and a 45-year-old man committed suicide in Satheri village and Purkazi town respectively, police said.

The body of the youth, identified as Monu, was found hanging from a tree in a garden, they said.
It was spotted by the villagers and the village head informed the police.
In the third case, the man, identified as Manwas, was found dead in his house after he allegedly consumed poison.
Investigations are underway in both the cases to ascertain what prompted them to take their lives.
