One held after eunuch shot at in Ghaziabad

One person has been arrested for a murder attempt on a eunuch here apparently because he wanted to claim the property by killing the 27-year-old transgender.
Police said they have arrested Waris of Bulandshahr for allegedly shooting at Annu Sharma yesterday at the local market here.
Waris has confessed that last year, on July 3, he along with his two accomplishes had murdered Annu's 'guru' Daya Rani Kinner (65) outside his house at Gau Shala Pathak, police said.
Waris claimed that after the death of Daya Rani, Annu was sole claimant of the property left behind and yesterday's attempt to murder was inspired by this, they said.

Kotwali Police Station SHO Dhirendra Yadav said the police also recovered a country-made 315 bore pistol, two live and one used cartridges on the indication of the accused.
He said the weapons were hidden in a goods godown at railway station.
An FIR has been registered and Waris has been sent to jail under section 307 of IPC (attempt to murder), the officer added.
