One held for shooting at petrol pump employee

One of the three bike-borne men who allegedly shot at a petrol pump employee in Banthla area and looted Rs 40,000 from him last week has been arrested, police said today.
Ashu, a resident of Shanti Nagar in Loni town, was arrested by the newly-created Loni Border Police Station staff.
Police Station Officer R P Sharma said during patrolling last night police team signalled a biker to stop for checking at Indirapuri Chowki. But instead of halting, the biker tried to flee.
Police team chased the biker and nabbed him.
A country-made pistol, two live cartridges and Rs 7,000 were recovered from them.
He has confessed to have shot at the petrol pump employee on the night of November 23, Sharma said.

Sharma said Ashu is a hardened criminal and carries a rewards of Rs 5,000 on his head.
He is wanted in six criminal cases in UP and four cases of robbery and murder in Delhi, he said.
Two accomplices of Ashu will be nabbed soon, he added.
Lal Singh, 46-year-old salesman of a petrol pump in outlet Banthla area was allegedly shot at by Ashu and his two accomplices after they were refused the fuel for not wearing safety helmets.
The accused also looted Rs 40,000 cash from the victim.
