One held in Rs 2.5 cr loot from dry fruits merchant

A robber, wanted in a Rs 2.5 crore loot from a dry fruit merchant's shop in Central Delhi last December, was arrested from Anand Vihar ISBT.
Sabir, alias Ustad, was arrested on Thursday night after a brief scuffle by the Special Cell of Delhi Police based on a tip off that he would arrive at Anand Vihar ISBT, DCP (Special Cell) Rajiv Ranjan said.
Last December, Sabir had, along with three other armed men, taken hostage Gaurav Rathi, a dry-fruits wholesale commission agent, and his employees at his shop at Tilak Bazar in Lahori Gate area, and made away with cash of more than Rs 2.5 crore.
Police had registered a case and also announced Rs 50,000 reward on the arrest of Sabir and two others.
