One kg heroin, Rs 61.16 lakh cash recovered in Amritsar

One kg of heroin and Rs 61.16 lakh cash was recovered by the counter intelligence Amritsar wing of the Punjab Police here, officials said.
Besides, one pistol .32 bore along-with 103 live rounds were also recovered, they claimed.
In a press release here today, the police said that the recovery of drug and cash was made from two alleged smugglers both named Sukhbir Singh.
A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, they said.
