One killed, 12 injured in car-bus collision on highway

One person was killed and at least 12 people were injured in a head-on collision between a car and a private bus on the Amritsar-Pathankot highway today, police said.
Om Parkash Salaria, a resident of the town, was going to Batala in his car when the bus collided with his vehicle near Bidhipur railway crossing on the highway, police said, adding that Salaria died on the spot.
At least 12 passengers of the bus were also injured in the accident. They were hospitalised in a nearby hospital, police added.
