One killed, 2 injured in building collapse

One person was killed and two others were injured when a portion of a two-storied building collapsed on Jamnalal Bajaj Street in the Burrabazar area, the commercial hub of the city today, fire brigade sources said.
The body of one person, yet to be identified, was retrieved from beneath the debris while the two injured were sent to a nearby hospital, they said.
It was a G+1 building and the collapsed portion was a makeshift one full of plastic, cardboards and other materials, a fire brigade official said adding the rescue work was still going on.
