One killed, 5 injured in bomb blast in Quetta

One person was killed and five others injured today in a remote-controlled bomb blast on a busy road in Quetta in troubled Baluchistan province.
The explosives were planted in a motorcycle on Saryab road and were detonated by a remote control, police said.
"One rickshaw driver who was present near the blast spot was killed while five others were injured and taken to hospital for treatment," a police official said.
According to the Bomb Disposal Squad, the bomb had over two kilogramme of explosive material.
Earlier this month, another bomb blast had taken place at Saryab road in which four people were wounded.
Quetta, the capital city of the troubled province, has been rocked by bomb blasts, target and sectarian killings and subversive activities by militants and separatists since the last few years.
Several policemen and frontier corp soldiers have been targeted in blasts and target killings in recent months.
