One killed, another injured as truck knocks down motorbike

A 25-year-old man was killed and another person was injured after a truck knocked down the motorbike they were riding under Shahinayathgunj police station limits here.
The incident took place at around 3 am yesterday and was caught in a CCTV camera.
The bike was crossing a road at a junction when the truck hit it. The man who was riding it was crushed under truck's wheels; the pillion-rider escaped with injuries.
The bike was dragged for over 300 meters by the truck, said inspector M Ravinder Reddy.
Truck driver Raghupati was caught by the police after some locals chased and forced him to stop.

"The truck driver was driving under the influence of liquor while the bike riders were also drunk," the police officer said. Further probe was on.
