A 32-year-old man was charred to death after fire broke out at a printing press in Falganj industrial area here, police said today.
The victim, a labourer, has been identified as Bablu Gautam.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that fire started due to a short circuit yesterday and the blaze soon engulfed the factory. A lot of chemicals and ink were stored there. Six fire tenders were deployed and the fire was doused after an hour," they said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigation is underway, police added.
