Rampreet Nishad (45) was seriously injured when two groups clashed in Budhanpur village this morning, police said.
Nishad died while being taken to Varanasi for treatment.
The injured were taken to the district hospital from where they were later discharged, police said.
A case has been registered against eight persons in this connection.
