The Chief Minister, who was in the steel city to take part in several functions including a picnic program organised by the party workers of his home constituency, Jamshedpur East assembly seat, said the process for recruiting 10,000 policemen is underway while 34,000 teachers will be appointed by March.
"In fact, I have targeted to provide one lakh employment in next six months time", he said.
Das further said that the development of the state is not possible without developing infrastructure.
The state government has plans to develop the state capital Ranchi into an IT hub like the automobile hub in Kolhan region comprising East and West Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharswan districts, he said.

Das said a meeting with the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Public sector company Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) would be convened soon to discuss about their unutilized land to develop a IT hub.
Referring to Tata Steel's proposed International Airport near here, Das said it required around 1000 acres of land whereas the private steel major has acquired 600 acres of land so far.
