"The baby died because of swine flu this evening at a state-run hospital. She was critical and was on ventilation for the last few days," West Bengal Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Moloy Dey told PTI today.
In the last 24 hours, 13 persons tested positive for the H1N1 virus as the number of infected mounted to 226 across the state this year, he said.
Out of 13, eight were from the city, while the rest from the suburbs, Dey said.
