One nomination filed for civic polls in five municipalities

Only one nomination was filed today, which was also the first day for civic polls in five municipalities and three town councils in Krishna district.
The five municipalities are Machilipatnam, Pedana, Gudivada, Nuzvid and Jaggaiahpet, while the three town councils are Vuyyuru, Nandigama and Tiruvuru.
The last date for filing nominations is March 14, while scrutiny of nominations is on March 15 and the date for withdrawals of nominations is on March 18.
Elections will be held on March 30, according to the District Election Officer and the District Collector.
