Police had launched a massive exercise to identify the suspects after the incident that took place on the night of August 21 which was caught on CCTV placed on a house near the spot.
"On the basis of the CCTV footage, hundreds of houses were checked in the nearby area. Finally, a woman identified one of the three assailants who had rented a room in her house but had left on 22nd itself, a day after the incident," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Central) Alok Kumar.
"A police team was rushed to Sonipat, Haryana which camped in the area for two days and finally one of the assailants, identified as Jammal was apprehended from his hideout. His interrogation led the police to other two accused Shiv Kumar alias Toni and Jatin Khatri, both residents of Gannaur, Haryana," said Kumar.
Raids at their hideouts revealed that the duo is in judicial custody in a case of Police Station Gannaur.

A day after the shootout at Delhi, the duo made an unsuccessful attempt to rob the owner of a motor workshop at Gannaur market wherein they were caught on the spot and after arrest sent to judicial custody.
Police had got a PCR call on August 21 at 9.49 PM that one Vipin Rajput, a property dealer by profession has been shot by someone. He had sustained bullet injury in his stomach and was admitted in B L Kapoor hospital.
Rajput had an altercation with the trio near his office in West Patel Nagar when his car touched them while he was reversing it. They initially had an argument but after that the trio walked away.
Police had registered a case of attempt to murder in this connection at Patel Nagar Police Station.
