One peddler killed, 2 arrested

A Pakistani drug peddler was killed and two Indian peddlers were arrested and 17 kg of heroin was seized from them during a brief encounter with BSF at Kamalpur Jatta Border Out Post (BOP) in the district, police said today.
The drug peddlers were taken into the custody after an exchange of fire on the Indo-Pak border late last night, they said.
17 kg of heroin worth Rs 17 crore in the international market was also recovered from their possession, they said.
