One person killed, five others injured in building collapse

One person was killed and five others, including a woman were injured when the basement of an under construction building collapsed in south Delhi's New Friends Colony area today.
The deceased was identified as Badri and the injured persons were all labourers at the construction site.
The incident took place at 10.10 AM. All the injured were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where Badri was declared brought dead, said a police official.
Three fire tenders along with an ambulance and six police control room teams were rushed to the spot and a rescue operation was launched without any delay, said a government official.

The police are likely to register a case of negligence in connection with the incident, said the police official.
