An iconic building of Uttarakahand, it has been named green hills as it reflects the verdant green hills surrounding the Sivalik range.
Addressing the gathering at the inaugural function the company's chairman and managing director said, "with the formal inauguration of its first green building, ONGC hopes it will usher in an era of undiminishing energy finds."
Four more green buildings are coming up at ONGC Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
The ONGC Green hills here has a total built up area of 14,600 square metre and it is spread over five floors with the capacity to accommodate 620 persons.
With the completion of the green hills at ONGC Dehradun, the company has kept its promise to its stake holders to reduce carbon foot prints, Vasudeva said.
