"Onion prices are continuously rising and today touched Rs 60 per kg in the wholesale market despite increase in supplies as onions from Afghanistan and Pakistan are also entering the market," Budhiraja said.
While, in the retail markets of Delhi, the kitchen staple is being sold at Rs 80 per kg.
However, onions are still available at Rs 38 per kg at Mother Dairy's Safal outlets.
