To check corruption and increase efficiency, the town and country planning department of the state will accept only online applications for extension and grant of Change of Land Use (CLU) from October 2, officials said today.
The Haryana government has also decided to accept all payments and compliances online from September 18, an official spokesman said.
The CLU permission is required before executing any project in the controlled area of the state.
For seeking a grant of CLU, people have to submit mandatory documents released by the revenue authorities like land or ownership documents, sale deed, mutation ('intkal'), 'jamabandi' and 'aks shajra' in original to the concerned field officer, along with copies of the layout and survey plan.
The spokesman said the department has launched e-Payments to receive online payments and e-Compliance, to receive mandatory compliances against Rules 24, 26, 27 and 28 of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Rules, 1976.
From September 18, all payments and compliances against Rules 24, 26, 27 and 28 would be received in online mode only, he said.
"Applications for the grant and extension of CLU, release of bank guarantee and extension of community sites in the state will be accepted online from Gandhi Jayanti," he said.
"This will make things easy for the people, increase work efficiency of the department and put an end to the possibility of corruption through maximum use of information technology," he added.
