"Majlis will launch an online campaign to press for its demand for return of mortal remains of Guru and other martyrs," it said in a statement.
The Majlis, formed after execution of Guru in February, is spearheading an agitation seeking return of his body to his family.
They are also seeking the mortal remains of Bhat, who was hanged and buried inside Tihar jail in 1984.
Giving a call for a general strike on Saturday, the Majlis appealed to people to adhere to the agitation programme. "People can carry out normal activities on Sunday to compensate for shutdown on Saturday," it added.
Many schools in the city are functioning of Sundays to make up for the loss of academic time due to strikes and curfews after Guru's hanging.
Although the strike call last week evoked little response, educational institutions remained closed to ensure no harm was caused to students.
