Only 2 Bru families return on day 2 of self-repatriation

Only two Bru families today returned to Mizoram on the second day of self-repatriation of the community from the relief camps in neighbouring North Tripura district today.
The two families came at Zomuantlang facilitation centre in Mamit district bordering Tripura from where they went to the village designated for their resettlement, Mamit district SP Rodingliana Chawngthu said.
On the first day of self-repatriation yesterday, at least 86 families returned to Mizoram and were already moved to their respective villages in Mamit.
The state government has proposed to repatriate 121 Bru families during this phase of repatriation which would be taken up for a week.
