Opposing any internal probe by Sri Lanka into alleged war crimes, Deputy Chief Minister of Penang province in Malaysia P Ramasamy said nothing short of an "International inquiry" was acceptable to bring out the truth on the matter.
"It is not justifiable to have own probe against those who were responsible...(for alleged war crimes). It should be conducted by an International agency," Ramasamy told reporters at the city airport.
Moreover, countries should exert pressure for an International probe, under United Nations, into the alleged war crimes, Ramasamy, who was accompanied by MDMK General Secretary, Vaiko said.
MDMK is holding its party's conference on September 15 at Palladam in Tirupur District.
