Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today demanded that only locals should be employed by public sector companies at lower grades.
"An advertisement has come for recruitment of 100-200 people at Gua mines in West Singhbhum district for the posts of grade III and IV. Local people should be absorbed in the two grades," Soren told reporters here.
Be it public sectors or state sectors, locals should be given preference in the two lower grades, Soren said.
The Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has its mines in Gua and locals have from time to time demanded preference in employment.
