During a Sangat Darshan at Barnala, Badal said in order to ensure development and prosperity, it was important for the state and central government to work in tandem.
Stating that the Punjab government enjoys a very close and harmonious relationship with the central government which has resulted in rapid economic development of the state, Badal exuded confidence that the SAD-BJP would form the government for the third time in 2017.
In a lighter vein, Badal said the present AAP government in Delhi is in the habit of locking horns with the central government and the same holds true for the earlier Congress governments also.
He further said that a sum of Rs 20,000 crore is being spent on 4-laning and 6-laning of roads and also many state and national highways are being widened as he laid stress on the significance of road, rail and arterial networks as contributing factors for development in any state.
He also mentioned free power to farmers costing Rs 6,000 crore to the state exchequer besides atta-dal, shagun scheme, Free health insurance scheme and Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra.
