On the eve of 30th anniversary of Operation Bluestar, the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the current session of Parliament, should acknowledge wrongdoing on the government's part in the attack on the Golden Temple.
The AISSF also asked Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal to issue a whip to party's newly elected MPs to move a resolution in Parliament on June 6, condemning the "massacre" at the Golden Temple and Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of Sikhs.
AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad said the BJP-SAD alliance must condemn then Indian government's actions in June, 1984 and should apologise for the same.
On June 6, the AISSF will hold the "Sikh Sovereignty March" from Gurudwara Shaheedan to Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar, he said.
