In a statement which delivered his first reactions in the case, Chennithala said that the Opposition's attempt to gain political mileage by spreading false stories would be resisted politically.
It was improper on the part of the Opposition to raise repeated charges against the government when a probe into the case was going on at a fast pace. A top official has already been assigned to investigate the matter.
He said the CM had even removed two of his staff members after initial investigations established that they had been in contact with the accused in the solar panel scam.
The CM had on June 14 sacked his personal assistant and removed a gunman from his personal staff for making frequent telephone conversations with the woman in question, who was arrested earlier this month.
