Though former chief minister Hemant Soren agreed it was he who gave approval to a committee recommendation to introduce CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) when he was the head of the UPA government in the state, he said the "wrong should be corrected".
Soren's admission came after state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Roy drew the attention of the House when slogan-shouting opposition members trooped into the well demanding withdrawal of CSAT.
Roy sought to know why no leader from the opposition opposed the CSAT when Soren gave consent to the committee recommendations and said the present state government took the decision on CSAT after looking into the pros and cons, yet it was open to ponder over suggestions.
He said it was not proper by the Opposition members to put pressure on the government even after Speaker Dinesh Oraon rejected their adjournment motion on the subject.
Intervening in the matter, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said a minority mandate (Opposition benches) can't dictate the House and put pressure on the government and asked the Opposition members to give their suggestions in writing.
The Opposition members, who forced the Speaker to adjourn the House twice in the morning session, continued their ruckus during the second half and staged a walkout on the penultimate day of the Monsoon session of the Assembly.
