Maharashtra unit chief of BJP, Raosaheb Danve, today alleged that the opposition parties Congress-NCP were creating hurdles in BJP-led state government's efforts in tackling drought situation.
"The ruling BJP has asked the ministers and public representatives to tour the drought-hit areas and press the government machinery in tackling the crisis. MLAs and MPs would tour the drought hit villages and review works of the government machinery. But the NCP-Congress have opposed this move," he said in a press conference here.
"The government has taken various steps to provide relief to drought-hit people, including the formation of Drought Eradication Committee at the villages," he said.
