"The state has been hit by the worst ever calamity in its history with affected areas still in a mess and people still crying for succour. A brief three-day session is not enough to address the concerns of people," Leader of Opposition Ajay Bhatt told reporters at the Vidhan Sabha.
Demanding extension of the session for at least four more days, he said the state government has to answer 1,100 questions.
This being the first session of Uttarakhand Assembly after the mid June calamity, is likely to be stormy with the opposition gearing up to corner the state government on a range of issues especially the manner in which it handled the crisis.
