Peeved over Rajasthan Labour Minister Jaswant Yadav "unnecessarily stretching" a reply during the Question Hour allegedly to avoid discussion in assembly on cow conservation, Opposition parties walked out of the House.
Replying to a question on child labour issue, Yadav asserted that is was an important issue and it was his responsibility to answer queries on the matter.
He said, "As the matter involves several departments so it takes time (to complete a reply)." He took nearly 20 minutes of the Question Hour.
To this, the Opposition members drew the attention of the House and urged Speaker Kailash Meghwal to intervene. An National People's Party MLA asked the Chair to fix time limit for questions and answers, on lines of the Parliament.
Opposition also alleged that the Speaker was being biased to the ruling party and not asking the labour minister to cut short his answer.
The Speaker then asked whether time limit should be fixed for questions and answers. When none of the house members replied, he allowed Yadav to complete his answer.

Again, the Opposition members alleged that the minister "has been asked to stretch answer to avoid question on cow conservation" that BJP MLA Banwari Lal Singhal had asked.
When the Speaker did not intervene, entire Opposition walked out of the House just four minutes before the Question Hour was about to end.
However, they returned after three minutes just before the Zero Hour was to begin.
