The Monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature, beginning tomorrow, is likely to be a stormy affair with opposition parties all set to corner the state government on the Muzaffarnagar violence.
"We will raise the issue of Muzaffarnagar clashes in the Assembly tomorrow," state BJP president Laxmi Kant Bajpai told reporters here.
Leaders of other opposition parties also said they would vociferously raise the issue in both the Houses.
Asked about the Opposition's move to put the government on the mat on the Muzaffarnagar violence, Cabinet minister and SP leader Shivpal Yadav said these parties were devoid of any issue.
Ahead of the session, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey sought the cooperation of opposition parties at the all-party meeting convened by him for smooth running of the House.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Parliamentary Affairs minister Mohd Azam Khan did not attend the all-party meet.
