The BJP and Congress today hit back at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for alleging that the opposition parties were opposing the CCTV project because it would be difficult for them to "distribute booze and money" during elections if cameras were to be installed.
The two parties accused ruling Aam Aadmi Party of indulging in "propaganda" over the issue.
Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken termed the CCTV camera project a "scam" and challenged Kerjiwal to order a probe into it.
Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said the chief minister might have been accusing his party of creating hurdles in CCTV camera project, but "they have levelled allegations against our leaders in the past also and then gone on to seek apology. It will not be surprising if they do so again."
