Slamming the budget, BJP Delhi president Satish Upadhyay said AAP had talked a lot on budget expenses through Mohalla Sabhas dialogue and when the chance to implement came, only 0.65 per cent budget expenditure, that is just Rs 253 crore, has been given for Swaraj Nidhi.
"This Delhi Budget is a gimmick. It is more or less a continuation of AAP election speeches," he said.
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly and BJP MLA Vijender Gupta said that be it the matter of Swaraj Nidhi or giving 20 crores to the selected 11 constituencies, there is no clarification as to who would decide how this money is to be used.
Attacking the government over the Wi-Fi project, it said sanctioning a mere Rs 50 crores for providing free internet in colleges and villages is like making a "joke" of the promise made to the people of Delhi.
