The opposition, which yesterday forced the Jharkhand Assembly into multiple adjournments over alleged irregularities in the 5th Jharkhand State Public Service Commission examination, has appeared divided in their demand over scrapping of its results.
"The results should be cancelled," Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren told PTI here today.
"There should be a probe by a judicial commission or by the CBI. The question papers prepared in 2014 was used in the 2015 examination," said the working president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).
Asked what would be the fate of the students who had passed the examination, Soren contended, "On that pretext we can't allow more harm to the state's interests."
Dismissing the government's contention that the opposition was free to go to the court, Soren said, "The students approached the court as the government did not taken any action. Had the government taken action, they would not have gone to the court."
The Legislature Party Leader of the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), Pradip Yadav, also said his party favoured scraping of the results following irregularities and alleged violation of according reservation criteria.

"The court is open for the opposition, where the case is pending," Roy said.
