Replying to a question raised by INLD's senior leader Abhay Singh Chautala during the Question Hour on the concluding day of the budget session of the state assembly here, Yadav refuted the charge that Panipat thermal power plant was not functioning properly.
He, however, said that there was a problem in a turbine in Khedar power plant, but otherwise it was functioning normally.
Yadav, the six-time Congress MLA from Rewari, also launched a blistering attack on the opposition over Adani Group supplying power to the state.
"Haryana is getting power at a rate of Rs 3.26 per unit from Adani Group which is cheaper as compared to power generated by own sources," he said.

Refuting the allegations levelled by opposition in this matter, Yadav said power was being purchased from Adani Group within the frame of policy.
"What's wrong in purchasing cheap power from outside the state. Do they (INLD) want that we should burden the people of Haryana by imposing higher rates when we have an alternative," he said.
INLD had accused the state government of deliberately purchasing electricity at higher rates to provide benefit to the private companies while shutting down its own power plants.
Also, it would strengthen the transmission and distribution system in the state, he told the Assembly.
As many as four new power plants have been set up at Yamunanagar, Khedar, Jhandli and Khanpur on which the Utilities have invested.
He said there is a debt of total Rs 38,978.05 crore on Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd (HPGCL), Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (HVPNL), Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (UHBVNL) and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (DHBVNL).
