"To promote Simhasth-2016, the Mela authorities have not only launched a dedicated website but are also going all out on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, which is being liked and followed by large number of devotees in nearly 40 countries," an official release said today.
A UK-based devotee Hemant Kumar has also suggested incorporating "Swastik" symbol on the Simhasth flag as it is part of Indian culture and tradition for ages.
A page "Simhasth Mahakumbh-2016" too was launched on Facebook to promote the Mela, it added.
Simhasth-2016 is being organised from April 22 to May 21 in Ujjain. It is being held in this ancient and religious city after a gap of every 12 years.

According to Simhasth Publicity Advisor Suresh Tiwari, the authorities are also planning to deploy bilingual experts in large number this time in view of participation of foreigners and Non-Resident-Indians (NRIs).
Also, a dedicated Simhasth portal is being developed to provide information related to this month-long fair. It will also help a lot in the management of over one lakh employees to be deployed during the mela period, he added.
