Otari bags two gold in Senior National Weightlifting

Omkar Otari of Railways bagged two gold medals in the men's 69kg category on the second day of the 66th Men and 29th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships here today.
Otari won the yellow metal in clean and jerk (161kg) and total lift (296kg) after he was pushed to the second spot in snatch by Vikas Kumar of Services.
In men's 62kg, Rustam Sarang of Police clinched a gold each in clean and jerk (146kg) and total lift (261kg) while he won a bronze in snatch (115kg). The gold in snatch went to Swapnil Ghagare Babaso of Services with an effort of 119kg.

In women's 53kg, Preeti of Haryana bagged a gold each in snatch (81kg) and total lift (182kg). The gold in clean and jerk was won by Matsa Santoshi of Andhra Pradesh with an effort of 104kg.
