Outgoing GOC of 15 Corps meets Guv to discuss security issues

Outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Srinagar-based 15 Corps, Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh and his successor-designate Lt Gen Subrata Saha today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra here and discussed various security issues including arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
"The Governor discussed with the Generals various issues relating to internal and external security management and also reviewed the security arrangements being made for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra," an official spokesman said after the meeting.
He said the Governor conveyed his good wishes to Lt Gen Singh on his moving to the Army Headquarters to hold a responsible assignment.
Vohra also welcomed Lt Gen Saha and wished him a very successful tenure as GOC 15 Corps, the spokesman said.
Lt Gen Saha will assume the charge of office tomorrow.
