Over 1,800 file nominations for Nagpur civic body polls

A total of 1,809 candidates have filed nomination papers for the February 21 election to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).
On the last day of filing nominations today, as many as 1,533 candidates, including those from major parties like Shiv Sena, BJP and Congress, submitted their papers, NMC officials said.
According to NMC, they have received a total of 1,809 nomination forms between January 27 and February 3.
The 145-member civic body is currently ruled by the BJP.
