More than 10,000 people have enrolled themselves to get treatment at the Army medical camp that was organised under the aegis of Northern Command at the remote Pancheri village in Udhampur district today, Udhampur-based defence spokesperson, Col S D Goswami said.
"The camp was organised on the request of the villagers as the area is remote and deprived of medical facilities, besides no medical camp was held in the area in the last 10 years," Goswami said.
Specialists in the field of ENT, Medicine, Opthalmology, Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Surgery were present at the camp to providing their services to the people.
Facilities like plastic surgery, dental and pathology were being provided along with free ECG, lab facilities and free medicines to the patients, the Army spokesperson said.
The villagers could avail the super speciality treatment along with latest diagnostic facilities, he added.
