Other clubs which have come up with similar programmes in the recent past are EPL's Manchester United and Arsenal, apart from Germany's top outfit Bayern Munich.
The adidas-Chelsea FC Foundation Clinic had in May trained over 150 children in Delhi and this time as well, a similar number of kids were trained.
Head Coach of Chelsea FC Boys College Academy, Steve Winnett, said here that they wanted to teach the Chelsea way, which has worked well for the club, to young Indian children.
"We look to leave a legacy. We want to impact the children and give a general experience. We also work with coaches and tell them how we look at things back in Chelsea. We would like to come here again. We are currently in talks with adidas to come back next year," Winnett told reporters here.
The team of six coaches had earlier visited Thailand, Korea, Japan before coming to India on their 16-day tour.
"Over the last few years we have consistently supported grassroot programmes to help the development of young footballers. We plan to expand the programme to more cities to encourage aspiring footballers from across the country," adidas India Brand Director Tushar Goculdas said in a statement.
Talking about the Chelsea way, Winnett said, "We work with two or three philosophies. Express yourself and go and try new things. We try to get them to be creative and make it fun to watch. We try to coach the children how to win. We are always try to make them compete an be the best. MORE
