Over 18 lakh voters enrolled in Rajasthan

Over 18 lakh new voters have been registered in Rajasthan taking the total number of voters to 4.25 crore.
Chief Electoral Officer Ashok Jain today said that 2,77,658 people enrolled in Jaipur district, the highest in the state, during an enrolment drive ahead of parliamentary elections.
While 76,047 voters were added in Ajmer, other districts also witnessed considerable increase in numbers, the officer said.
The state will now have 4,25,42,785 voters, of which 2.01 crore are women, Jain said.
