The sick persons from Reckong Peo and Sanglawere flown to Shimla and admitted to IGMC Hospital here.
The rescue teams assisted by 25 member team of Disaster Management Response Force have so far airlifted over 740 persons from various locations in Kinnaur tribal district, completely cut off by road beyond Tapri due to massive landslides triggered by incessant heavy rains for one week, officials said.
As many as 106 persons, including 16 foreigners were evacuated from Sangla, 70 persons from Reckong-Peo and Pooh and two dozen other people from other places in the district, they said.
The main focus should be on evacuating stranded people to safer places by ensuring maximum number of sorties as a large number of people including 40 foreign nationals were still stranded at Nako and 40-60 persons belonging to Tabo were stuck up in Pooh, he said.
Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, high alert had been sounded in Kinnaur district, cautioning people against landslides heavy rains at isolated places.
The weather, however, remained clear in the region and maximum temperature rose to 39.0 degrees Celsius at Una followed by Sundernagar and Bhuntar at 34.9 and 34.2 deg, Dharamsala 28.8 deg, Manali 28.2 deg and Shimla and Kalpa 25.6 deg C.
