Over 7,500 students for inter engineering college meet

Over 7,500 students from 49 Engineering colleges in the district are participating in the 12th KCT Sports Fest for 'Arutselvar Dr N Mahalingam Rolling Trophy, which began here today.
The three-day annual inter-college tournament is held by Kumaraguru College of Technoloy, as a gesture of goodwill and to promote healthy competition among engineering college students.
Dr V Albert Premkumar, Physical director, said 18 different sports would be held.
These include Badminton (Men and Women), ball badminton (men) basketball- men and Women, football, handball, hockey and kabaddi (both for men), throwball women (seven members), volleyball (men and women) Kho-Kho for women, table tennis and chess for both men and women, he said.
