While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, government procuring agencies have procured over 59.14 lakh metric tonnes, whereas over 12.18 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.
He said that more than 27.54 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the department, over 19.22 lakh MT by Hafed, over 6.49 lakh MT by Haryana Warehousing Corporation, over 5.68 lakh MT by Haryana Agro-industries Corporation and 19,667 MT by Food Corporation of India.
Similarly, over 9.36 lakh MT paddy has arrived in mandis of Kaithal, 8.22 lakh MT in Fatehabad, 7.91 lakh MT in Ambala, 6.04 lakh MT in Yamunanagar, 4.71 lakh MT in Jind, 2.39 lakh MT in Sirsa, 1.49 lakh MT in Hisar, 1.30 lakh MT each in Panipat and Panchkula, 79,470 MT in Palwal, 58,231 MT in Rohtak, 37,626 MT in Jhajjar and 2,459 MT in Gurugram.
