The adalat was held nation-wide from Supreme court to Taluk courts on December 6.
In Kerala, the adalat, conducted by the Kerala Legal Services Authority was 'highly productive' and was a 'grand success', Kerala High Court Judge Justice Thothathil B Radhakrishnan, who is the Executive chairman of KELSA, told reporters here today.
This year 1,05573 cases were disposed state wide, against 11,900 cases last year, he said adding for the first time the adalat was conducted at collectorates, in revenue offices, tribunals which covered cases relating to Banking, Insurance, BSNL, revenue matters etc and claims totalling rs 184 were awarded.
The next adalat will be held during April-May 2015, justice Radhakrishnan said.
