Ozzy Osbourne stunned by living legend award

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne, who picked up three gongs at the Classic Rock awards here, said that receiving the Living Legend prize along with his Black Sabbath bandmates was not something he had ever expected.
Osbourne, 64, who has battled drink and drugs relapse throughout his life, said his behaviour nearly killed him and he also paid tribute to wife Sharon for saving his life, reported Daily Express.
"I did a good job of being the living dead myself. I'm alive because I've got a strong wife, I think. I didn't expect to live past 30 - I remember when I was 21 saying I would be dead by 40. That was all right until I was 39 and half," he said.

Asked if he wants to give any advice to young bands, Osbourne said, "I'm not good at giving advice to anyone else. Drink more and take as much cocaine as you can. That's what I would tell my younger self.
