P L Gupta takes oath as J-K chief vigilance

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today administered the oath of office to state's newly- appointed Chief Vigilance Commissioner P L Gupta.
Vohra also administered oath of office toretired IAS officer Gazzanfer Hussain, who will serve as one of the two commissioners in the State Vigilance Commission, during a function at the Raj Bhavan here, an official spokesman said.
The governor congratulated Gupta and Hussain, wishing them successful tenures ahead.
Gupta has also worked as the State Vigilance Officer.
Vohra expressed hoped that the commission would become effectively functional without any loss of time, the spokesman said.
