P V Ramesh takes over as CMD of Rural Electrification Corp

State-run Rural Electrification Corp (REC) today said that P V Ramesh, anIAS officerof the 1985 batch of AndhraPradesh Cadre, has taken over as its Chairman and Managing Director.
Prior to joining REC, Ramesh was the Special Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology and Development Commissioner in Andhra Pradesh, a company statement said.
Ramesh is a trained Doctor from the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore. He has, during his service tenure of over 31 years, held important positions of Principal Finance Secretary, Principal Secretary Department of Health and Family Welfare and Commissioner of Industries in the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
